When I first started remaking this site, I was using PAD 2.7b. I found it to be such a wonderful program I included it in the Anti-Window$ list. Then, before completing the site, PAD 3.0 was introduced, and to my dismay is was now shareware. I contacted the creator, and he (she or they which ever it may be) granted me permission to make 2.7b available. Now I know that many people (including myself) try to stay away from bata software, but I have been using this program now for 6 months without a problem. There are a few glitches (like a few things being written in German), but none that hamper the program. I find this to be one of the best freeware programs available, and that is why I am offering it here.
I want to thank Hesky-Data Software for making such a wonderful and useful program, and for allowing me to make the 2.7b version available to all.
After using the program, I found that the included HTML clipbook did not comply with W3C standards, so I created my own HTML 4.0 clipbook. If you are new to HTML, I would suggest sticking
with the clipbook that comes with PAD. If you are an experience user (or at least not a newbie) then I would suggest getting my HTML 4.0 clipbook. NOTE: After unzipping
the file, you will need to move it to the CLIPS sub-directory of you PAD directory. If you want to check out the Hesky-Data Software homepage, you need to know that it has changed since PAD 2.7b. The new address is http://www.hds-pad.com/res.htm. Make sure you note it if you are downloading the 2.7b version since all documentation in 2.7b refers to the old site.
