On this CD you will find a small collection of open source software that you can use as an alternative to the costly commercial software that you may be using now. All the programs on this CD are what is commonly called "copyleft". This means that you are free to use any of these programs, install them on as many computers as you like, and even share/copy this CD with others. For more information, please see the GNUwin II CD-ROM that I have also given you.
There are many more OSS (open source software) packages that do the same thing as the ones provided here, as you can see when you look at the GNUwinII CD-ROM. I have chosen only these ones because they are the ones I use and feel would be useful to you. Follow the HOW-TOs link to find out how to install any of the provided programs. Click on the program's name and you will be able to find out more about that particular program.
