Iron City N-Scalers Tramway

The Iron City N-Scale Modulers has decided to build a "Tramway" set of T-TRAK modules.  Each person who likes can add a 3rd, "elevated' line to a standard T-TRAK module to connect up for our Tramway.

The Tramway will be designed to have a few 'station stops' -- we plan to use Ardiuno and sensors to stop the tram, play some audio, as well as send it back an forth (ie it will be fully automated)

The "Standards"

• The Tramway line will be 9-inchs from the front of the module to the centerline of track.

• The Tramway line will be 60mm off the deck. (this is the equivalent of the Kato 2" piers, and the Kato Viaduct track)

• Tramway line needs to include catenary poles (Kato 23-059)

• An "S Curve" can be built using:

  •  R448-15d  (there is a plate girder option - no viaduct option) 

  • S 124mm  (both viaduct or plate girder option)

  • R282-15d (niether viaduct or plate girder option)

• There is space on a 13" deep module to have the S-Curve move the track towards the front, or towards the back.

  • Anyone building an S-Curve should probably build them  in pairs.
